The American Foundation of Counseling Services Foster Care program has been a state-licensed child placing agency since 1999. We provide intensive out of home placement for kids that have been victims of abuse or neglect or for kids with delinquency issues. Our therapists and case managers work in each foster home to provide consultation and support to the foster families, schools, and other community providers, ensuring that the children placed quickly achieve a level of stability within the foster home and community. After making progress in our program, most children transition back to their family of origin or into an independent living setting.

American Foundation of Counseling Services was established in 1965 by George Kress and Norman Vincent Peale with the original goal of providing training and counseling education to clergy and congregations in Northeastern Wisconsin. We continue that tradition today working closely with the faith community in the area by providing clergy and congregational care in the forms of; Pastor Leadership Groups, Premarital Counseling Workshops, Marriage Enrichment Seminars, and individual consultation to clergy and church leadership teams.
