Clergy and Congregation Care

The American Foundation of Counseling Services was established in 1965 by George Kress and Norman Vincent Peale with the original goal of providing training and counseling education to clergy and congregations in Northeastern Wisconsin. We continue that tradition today working closely with the faith community in the area by providing Pastor Leadership Groups, Premarital Counseling Workshops, Marriage Enrichment Seminars, and individual consultation to clergy and church leadership teams.

Throughout each month, we facilitate Pastor Leadership Seminars at our site and in parishes and congregations throughout the area.  These seminars aim to partner with pastors and assist them in shepherding their congregations and networking with one another.  The Pastor Leadership Seminar allows area pastors to present case studies of actual  parish situations that require their leadership. They receive peer feedback which otherwise is rarely available.  Individual counseling is available for pastors and their families.  Please call Bob Johnson at 437-8256 if you would like to participate in a seminar.
