Clergy and Congregational Care (CCC) is an initiative that has been developed by the Samaritan Institute for Samaritan Counseling Centers throughout the United States. American Foundation of Counseling Services (AFCS) along with our partnering organization, The Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley, provides a variety of services to clergy, congregations/parishes, and other faith-based organizations. These services include:
- Congregation Consultation
- Educational Services
- Clergy Renewal and Support
Click here for more information on AFCS's partnership with The Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley.
Established in 1965 by George Kress and Norman Vincent Peale, AFCS began providing training and counseling to clergy and congregations throughout Northeastern Wisconsin. We continue that original mission today by working closely with faith communities to increase their capacity to live out their missions.
One way this is accomplished is through Pastor Leadership Seminars. These seminars present actual case studies followed by peer discussion. A trained group facilitator aids the discussion and highlights various aspects, including leadership solutions.
