5:30 Registration, 6:00 Cocktails, Clues and AFCS tours, 7:00 Dinner and Mystery
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN… The American Foundation of Counseling Services (AFCS)
is very pleased to announce that its recent Murder Mystery fundraising event, at
the Historic Bellin Building, was a huge success!
72 “sleuths” joined a small group of “suspects” for cocktails at the Black & Tan
Lounge, tours of the 7th floor AFCS offices and a delicious dinner at the Black
& Tan Grille. Woven into these activities was an interactive mystery show and an
evening of fun. The May 2nd event raised over $14,000, which will help to
subsidize over 400 counseling sessions for AFCS clients.
Bob Johnson, Executive Director of American Foundation of Counseling Services,
thanked the guests at the event by comparing their evening to something many
people in need of mental health services do not experience. Bob stated, “We
often take evenings like this for granted, forgetting we have neighbors who
can’t or will not accept joy into their lives. Your presence tonight will help
many find a way out of that darkness.”
All proceeds from this mysterious event will go to the American Foundation of
Counseling Services’ (AFCS) “Women of Strength: Helping Families in Need”
campaign. Funds are used to assist uninsured and underinsured individuals and
families obtain counseling services. AFCS provides counseling and consultation,
Treatment Foster Care, and care to clergy and congregations throughout
Northeastern Wisconsin. For more information on AFCS, go to
