The outpatient department is composed of professional counselors and medical professionals with the following professional certifications:

Our services are available by appointment only. Appointments are available from 8:00am-8:00pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00am-5:00pm on Fridays. If you are calling with an after hours emergency, please call the Crisis Center at (920) 436-8888.

Many health insurance plans provide mental health benefits and all or part of your session fee may be covered. American Foundation of Counseling Services is committed to providing the highest quality service regardless of a client’s ability to pay. AFCS now offers DBT
Informed Therapy (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
DBT adds the concepts of validation and dialectics to cognitive behavior therapy. It is used to treat eating disorders, substance abuse, depressed and suicidal teenagers, and ongoing depression in the elderly. For more information about DBT and AFCS services utilizing this therapy,

AFCS offers a variety of groups for children, adolescents and adults
Self Esteem/Social Skills Groups
A self-esteem/social skills group is offered multiple times throughout the year
for 6-9 year old and for 9-12 year old children. Issues addressed during this
group include: respecting boundaries, expressing feelings appropriately, dealing
with teasing and anger, identifying self and others positively, and accepting
responsibility for wrong-doing. For more information and for dates of the group,

Emotion Regulation Group
AFCS is now offering a group for 14 to 17 year olds to learn skills in managing and expressing emotions. The first session will begin April 13 and will run for 8 sessions. More information
Anxiety Management Group
AFCS will be offering an Anxiety Management group for adults. The group will run for 6 weeks and will cover information and education about anxiety, relaxation and coping skills, changing thoughts and beliefs that fuel anxiety, communication, and self-care strategies. More information
Adults Affected by Asperger's Group
AFCS is now offering a group for adults affected by Asperger’s Syndrome. Goals of the group are to share life experiences, learn success methods for social skills, focus on strengths and deal with anxiety. The group lasts for six sessions. More information
