MORE Program
In 2008, AFCS and six partner agencies—Bellin Psychiatric Center, Golden House, N.E.W. Community Clinic, New Community Shelter, The House of Hope and St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter—were selected to be the recipient of the US Oil Open Fund for Basic Needs Collaborative Grant. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation led the selection process for this $300,000 award ($100,00 per year for 3 years). These seven agencies have collaborated to develop the Mental health Outreach Resource Expansion (MORE) Program. The staff will travel to each location, thus making it more convenient and accessible for the persons who will be accessing the services, as well as providing continuity of care. Services include mental health counseling, psychiatric assessment and medication management, psycho-education and staff consultation through the dedicated services of a full-time mental health therapist and a half-time Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber. If you would like more information about the services this grant will support, please contact us at (920) 437-8256.
